Tips for customers using
Islanders Bank's "Bill Pay" Program

1. Make sure you key in the account number correctly. Otherwise, your payee may not be able to post the payment in a timely manner.

2. Be sure to double check the address on your payment stub from time to time with the address you have recorded on our system. Companies occasionally change addresses of payment centers which can slow down your payment.

4. If you are concerned whether this system works with a particular payee, send them an extra payment for a dollar via this system. If you see the one dollar payment on your next statement, it's a pretty safe bet that future payments will be posted as well.

5. Keep your password safe. Don't use words that are easy for others to guess. Use a mix of letters and numbers if possible. If you have to write it down, keep it in a private place and don't label it "my internet banking password."
